Howl 06 [Audio//English]
[When the transmission times in, the wolf is strumming quietly on the guitar she'd found on Deck 12, going over the same familiar chords of the lullaby she'd played for Kevas over a week ago. It's not one many people would know, but it had been passed down through her family for generations, and Taylor had taught her how to play it. The song means more to her then anyone may know; it's a signal that she's been thinking.
A sigh is audible over the guitar, and she pauses in playing, occasionally strumming a note or two before actually speaking into the comm.]
Well, can't really say whether I'm sorry or glad to have my tail back, but I guess that's a rather mute point. Sorry I've been so quiet, guys; I've been thinking.
[Mikaela and Kevas are probably the only ones who have seen her this serious; its not a persona the wolf takes on often. Rea strums a few more notes, then sighs again, voice sounding a bit perkier then before.]
So, I have a question; I don't care who answers, I'm just curious. Who all on this crazy boat has family back home? Me, I've gotsix five brothers, four older and one younger. They're a pain, but I love'em.
I guess this is what being homesick feels like, heh.
[She strums a few more random notes before going back into the lullaby, silent as she does. Click.]

[She's strumming on the guitar again, more out of habit then actually trying to do it.]
Never been away from my pack, though.
no subject
Me either. Not for this long.
[She huffs.]
Where are you?
no subject
[She laughs, just a little.]
So much for that. I'm in m'room.
no subject
Okay. I'm coming over.
[SLEEPOVER]
no subject
Okay; you know where it is.
[OH HELL YUS]

[She has to get stuff, yo. Junk food, etc. Pillows to fight with...]

[Strumstrumstrum. She doesn't know what Mikaela has planned, obvs, but she'll enjoy the company.]

I'm coming, I'm coming, gimme a sec!
[The guitar is dropped on the bed and the wolf heads to the door, pulling it open and blinking at her friend. Then she stares at... whatever it is Mikaela has with her.]
no subject
Hurry up!
[She waits for the door to open, makes sure Rea isn't holding anything, then WHACK. Pillow -> face!]
no subject
Ohhhhh so that's how it's gonna be, is it? Alright then-
[And now she's running to grab her own pillow, dashing back to swing at her friend with a laugh]
-bring it on!

Yeah, she needed some girly time.]

[And here she smiles a little sadly, though he can't see her. The lullaby pauses.]
Only one they ever listened to was Taylor; I usually just got laughed at, heh.

[Rea sighs, strumming a few chords again.]
Right before I came here, I made a decision I thought was brave. Now I think it was cowardly, and I bet they're mad at me.

[Kevas knows a thing or teo about cowardly decisions.]

[Another strum.]
An enemy was stalking us because of me, so I told myself leaving would keep my brothers safe. Now I think I was just afraid of facing the enemy myself.
[Especially since he'd killed Taylor.]
no subject
[It's up to her to decide whether that's good or bad.]
Gotta do whatevah it takes to keep what be joors safe right?
no subject
[She sighs again.]
Just wish I knew if they are safe or not.

[Her laugh is rather hollow.]
Surely five big strong Lycans can take care of themselves without their baby sister around...

[That mental image cheers her up a bit, and this time her laugh is real.]
That... would be scary. Seriously. No, I don't want them coming here, but you're right.
I don't believe we're stuck here forever.
no subject
[Now that's good to hear.]
Me eiddah, dere gotta be a way off dis boat.
[And one that doesn't involve death.]

[The lullaby changes into a more upbeat pace, now that she's feeling somewhat better.]
We'll just have to find the way off ourselves, I suppose.
